$Ben Freeth (38 years old) a white Zimbabwean farmer and his parents-in-law were attacked an armed gang of 30 Zanu-PF Youth militia on their farm. ..Mike Campbell was attacked first with the butt of a gun, knocking him unconscious. Angela ran towards her husband to help when she was attacked and thrown to the floor resulting in a multiple fractures of her upper arm. She was then tied up next to her unconscious husband. ..She then heard a shot being fired which was aimed at her son-in-law Ben who was trying to come to their rescue. Ben was dragged out of his pick up and beaten around the head before being tied up and loaded onto the back of their personal vehicle along with Angela and Mike. All three were abducted in their vehicle and taken to a Zanu-PF camp. En-route they unleashed a barrage of some 40 rounds into the vehicle of Ben Frith...The camp was run by Gilbert Moyo, and assisted by an Army officer in the abduction and beatings. The family have instigated a legal challenge to the forced removal and displacement of white farmers with the SADC High Court. They were told that they car was being confiscated by Gilbert Moyo but as long as they told no-one about their abduction and did not report to hospital they would get their car back in 4 months!...They were drenched in cold water which was poured over their heads and repeatedly threatened with guns and shooting. Angela her ring ripped form her finger and the abductors suggested cutting off her fingers until some soap and water was brought to remove her wedding rings...After signing a contract to say that they would not report the incident to the police they were again loaded onto the back of the vehicle they were dumped at the side of the road upon where Ben was able to raise the alarm at a nearby homestead for medical attention..$
